Horizontal Slotting for Log Walls | Bushcraft Dowel Joints | Hand Auger | Bushcraft Roundhouse PT3

Part 3 of building a roundhouse-style bushcraft log shelter using only hand tools (no power tools). Adding Horizontal Slotting to the primary shelter frame uprights. The horizontal slotting will hold logs vertically between the primary uprights and thereby become the shelter walls in the next stage. The horizontal beams also provide some extra structural integrity to the frame overall in the form of horizontal bracing, however, some diagonal bracing will also be required. This was a very time-consuming task with 16 individual hand-carved dowels, and 48 individual hand-bored holes required to complete this stage.
