Today, we're reviewing a remarkable new model for 2019: the Breitling Premier Day&Date 40 (Ref. A45340211G1P1). Breitling's first collection of elegant Premier watches dates back to the 1940s. This year, the watch brand has unveiled a new take on the classic. This is Breitling's first modern collection, rooted in everyday elegance. With its superior craftsmanship and technical features, these watches carry the brand's unmistakable DNA while possessing a refined style that perfectly complements their intended purpose. The Breitling Premier Automatic Day Date 40 is housed in a 40 x 11.4 mm stainless steel case, featuring a double bevel and Art Deco-inspired stripes on the caseback. This design is reminiscent of the rise of modernist design in the 1940s and 1950s. The silver dial displays the hours, minutes, seconds, date, and day of the week. The polished stainless steel case back conceals the Breitling automatic caliber 45 (also known as the renowned ETA2834-2, a precise, reliable, and timeless movement first introduced in 1974). Chief watch designer Guy Bovet, along with the Breitling design team, worked diligently to create this striking design.
