Errol Spence Explains Why He Retired | Says Fighters Have To Know hen To Hang It Up | Fans Crying

After Errol Spence's unanimous decision loss to Tim Tszyu, Spence announced his retirement inside the ring after the fight. Spence looked slow, timid, and his power was gone. His legs looked shot, and his punch resistance was broken. Every time Tim hit Spence with the straight right, he snapped Errol's head back like a bobblehead doll. It was truly a painful thing to see. Supports of Spence could be heard crying on the internet. People did not want to see Spence go out like that. It reminded of the time when Larry Holmes Beat Muhammad Ali back in 1980. But pence didn't look as bad as Ali did. In the post fight interview. Spence explained why he retired by saying, "A lot of boxers are real good at having pride and ego. and things like that. And a lot of them can't come to the decision that it's time to hang it up, and they just want to keep going, and keep going, and keep going. Which you know you have to be real with yourself. And when it's time, it's time. I'm real enough with myself to know that it's time. I know after tonight, y'all won't see me again in the ring." End quote.
