Leicester Heritage Bus Running Day 2016

This short film features the Leicester Heritage Bus Running Day 2016 held at the new venue of the Birstall Park and Ride. As well as a regular shuttle service to the Abbey Pumping Station and the First Leicester Abbey Lane Depot open day vintage buses ran at frequent intervals through Leicester to the Tram Depot at Stoneygate which was open to the public there was also a service to the Great Central Railway at Quorn which itself was holding a mini gala to commemorate 50 years since the end of steam and through services since 1966. There was plenty to see at the Abbey Lane Open day including a playbus, face painting, workshop tours and a chance to drive a double deck bus. I apologise or the wind which has affected some shots but hopefully will not spoil your enjoyment too much nor the cloudy conditions which prevailed for much of the day. Hopefully this will give you a flavour of the day if you missed it and if you want to find out more please check out http://www.ltht.org.uk where you can see information about the buses running and an opportunity to get involved with the work of the Leicester Transport Heritage Trust.
