On this adventure, I traveled from Trujillo to the impressive Huayhuash Mountains, one of the most beautiful in the world. It involved two days of trekking at over 4,800 meters above sea level, crossing glacial lagoons, snow-capped mountains, and landscapes that seem like something out of a dream. The trip began with the Trux Adventure and Aquisito Nomás agencies, on a journey that normally takes 13 hours to the town of Queropalca (Huánuco, Peru). But luck put us to the test: the bus broke down and the journey became a 30-hour one, forcing us to camp before starting the trek. Day 1: A 4-hour hike to Carhuacocha Lagoon (4,150 meters above sea level), where we camped and enjoyed a sunset that reminded me of how beautiful Peru is. Day 2: Ascent to the Mirador de las Tres Lagunas (4,800 m.a.s.l.), a physical challenge worthwhile for the views of snow-capped mountains, glaciers, and crystal-clear lagoons. And yes...
