Trilochan Mahadev is located in Jalalpur on the Varanasi road, and is mentioned in the Skanda Purana. It is believed that Lord Shiva himself ascended here after penetrating the seven nether worlds. Snakes protect his temple here. People have found numerous evidence of this. Furthermore, to the east of this temple is a mysterious pond, bathing in which provides relief to those suffering from skin diseases and fever. The pond is mysterious To the east of the Trilochan Shiva temple lies a mysterious historical pond, which always holds water. It is said that bathing in this pond provides relief to those suffering from fever and skin diseases. This pond is connected underwater to the Sai River, which is about 9 km away. In this regard, it is said that the administration once excavated the pond, uncovering a grass called Sewar. This grass is found only in rivers, leading to the assumption that the pond's water source originates deep within and joins the confluence of the Sai and Gomati rivers. Serpents Protect It is said that Lord Shiva himself protects the temple. Once, a man from the nearby Makara village stole the snake on the Shiv Linga. He went insane and cried out, "A snake is chasing me. It will bite me." Frustrated, his family members commissioned a heavier silver snake to be made and gave the temple management a replacement, only then did his condition improve. Similarly, thieves stole the temple bell and went to the nearby Trilochan Mahadev railway station. When the train arrived, they were unable to lift it and place it on the train. After the station master informed them, the bell was returned to the Shiva temple. This is the belief: There was a dispute between two nearby villages, Rehti and Dingurpur, regarding the temple here, as to which village's boundary it belonged to. Several panchayats were held, but nothing was resolved, leading to violence and even bloodshed. The elders of both villages decided that since they were the masters of the world, they should decide which village's boundary the temple belonged to. Both sides closed the temple from the outside, locked their doors, and then went home. The next day, when people from both sides arrived at the temple and the locks were opened, their eyes widened in astonishment. The Shivalinga had clearly tilted north, towards Rehti village. It remains in that position today, and since then, the Shiva temple has been recognized as the site of Rehti village.
