In Burkina Faso you share your salary with the whole village. Yobi is the only one earning a salary in his village in Burkina Faso. That is why he has to share it with the whole village. Metropolis correspondent Seidou Samba Toure from Burkina Faso, Africa, is finding out for VPRO Metropolis. He shows you that it is not common to earn salary on the countryside of Burkina Faso. In the countryside of Burkina Faso, there is only one salary man in the village. Yobi shares his income with his whole village. He works in the mines and when his salary is being payed, he buys the necessary products for that month. With the rest of the money, he helps his family and neighbors in his village of Burkina Faso. In this sharing economy, he provides food and clothing for his wife. He buys meat. He shares his income with his family. People are mostly farmers of shepherds in Burkina Faso, but Yobi is working in the mines of Africa.
