However, that’s only because there is some micro-encapsulated adhesive applied to the threads during production. Section 15-24 goes on to say that the screw must only be used once, or when re-used, applied with Loctite 221 (which is the low strength, U.S. equivalent of Loctite 222MS). Anything stronger than this will likely result in a stripped bolt head during the next removal attempt.
