Rudolf Steiner's influence on 20th-century artistic movements—from abstraction to performance, architecture to design—is well known. How can this approach be inspiring, and how is it transmitted today? This film visits art schools that, through colour, volume, movement and voice, are reinventing teaching inspired by these impulses in a resolutely contemporary context. Through the testimonies of committed and passionate young artists, we discover that painting, sculpture, theatre, art and eurythmy, far from being separate disciplines, can be experienced as a path to knowledge and transformation. It asked a couple of filmmakers, Kaori Kinoshita and Alain Della Negra, to investigate. For two years, the duo travelled throughout France, camera in hand, to learn about training programmes and initiatives. Seeking to capture the atmosphere, they captured the soul of the places they visited and gathered rare and sincere testimonials. They met dozens of people involved in Steiner-Waldorf education, curative education, biodynamic agriculture and the arts.
