Éclipse du 12 août 2026 : 5 choix pour réussir vos photos

How to photograph the solar eclipse of August 12, 2026, in France without letting a bad decision ruin this unique opportunity? In this video, I present the 5 essential choices to make to prepare your eclipse photos before the big day. Discover my complete training to successfully photograph the eclipse: https://laphotonature.com/reussir-vos... On August 12, 2026, a very deep solar eclipse will be visible from mainland France. It will be spectacular, but it will not be total from France. The Sun will therefore remain extremely bright and will need to be photographed with appropriate sun protection. This eclipse will also have a particularity that will completely change how to photograph it: it will take place at the end of the day, as the Sun descends towards the western horizon. This is what will make the shoot more challenging. The light will constantly change, the horizon must be perfectly chosen, and the settings used at the beginning of the eclipse will likely no longer be suitable by the end. But this challenge will also be the source of all its beauty. An eclipsed sun at sunset, a warm and strange light, a solar crescent above a ridgeline, a landscape, or silhouettes: this configuration can offer photographs that are far more personal than a simple isolated solar disk in the sky. In this video, we'll look at the 5 decisions that will truly determine your results: – choose the type of photo you want to take; – find a suitable location with a clear western horizon; – use proper sun protection; – anticipate the changes in light and exposure; – do a full rehearsal before the eclipse. Should you photograph the eclipse with a telephoto lens or integrate it into a landscape? How can you avoid choosing a location where the sun will disappear behind trees, buildings, or a hill? Why doesn't a standard ND filter replace a true solar filter? How can you prepare for changing light throughout the shoot? And most importantly, how can you verify before August 12th that your equipment, framing, and setup are actually working? This video will help you build a coherent photography project and identify the most common pitfalls. In the training, I'll then guide you step-by-step through preparing and shooting your images: choosing equipment, solar filters, settings, focusing, scouting locations, shooting scenarios, close-ups, landscapes, rosary shots, the session process, and photo editing.
