‘We are carrying CVs’: protests against alleged preference for foreign workers in Western Cape
The Labour and Civic Organisation has drawn dozens of supporters to a protest against what it claims is the preferential employment of foreign nationals over South Africans. The organisation said it conducted fact-finding inspections in areas including the V&A Waterfront and Belhar, where it alleges that many businesses are employing a majority of foreign nationals instead of South Africans. Protesters arrived with their CVs to demand jobs and call for foreign nationals to leave.
