Ingredients 125 grams butter or margarine (room temperature) 1 teacup vegetable oil (125 ml) 1 egg 1 teacup powdered sugar 1 teacup semolina 1 packet vanilla extract 1 packet baking powder 3 cups flour For the syrup: 2 cups granulated sugar 2.5 cups water (500 ml) 1-2 drops lemon juice 1 slice of lemon For the topping: Hazelnuts Preparation First, combine 2 cups sugar and 2.5 cups water in a suitable pot. Turn on the heat and bring the syrup to a boil, stirring occasionally. Once it begins to boil, reduce heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes. Then, squeeze a few drops of lemon juice into the syrup and add 1 slice of lemon. Boil for another 2-3 minutes. Then, turn off the heat and let the syrup cool. Meanwhile, for the semolina dough, combine 125 grams of room-temperature butter, 1 teaspoon of oil, 1 egg, 1 teaspoon of powdered sugar, and 1 teaspoon of semolina in a mixing bowl and mix well with a spatula. Sift the flour, baking powder, and vanilla extract, gradually adding them to the dough, and knead thoroughly. It's important to add the flour gradually and knead thoroughly. The amount of flour may vary slightly depending on the size of the eggs, slight variations in the ingredients, and the type of flour. The dough should have a soft, non-sticky consistency. Be careful not to add too much flour, making the dough tough. Take pieces of dough slightly larger than a walnut, roll them in your palms, and shape them. Place the semolina balls on a baking sheet lined with baking paper, spaced apart. Place a hazelnut in the center of each one. Let the sekerpare bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) on the fan-less setting for 30 minutes. Arrange the desserts in a suitable dish. Then, drizzle the cooled syrup over the hot desserts.
