CONIMBRIGA. PORTUGAL'S ROMAN CITY!
Conimbriga is the largest Roman settlement remains in Portugal and has some of the finest intact mosaics we have ever seen! Its located very close to Coimbra city and the links to Coimbra are clearly obvious. To say this place is impressive is an understatement and we were blown away by its size and condition. With some parts dating back to the 1st to the 3rd centuries BC its astonishing how much remains and the vibrancy of the mosaics. We would highly recommend you visit, its cheap as chips to enter and you could spend a whole day there.
