Why My DJI Air 3S Colors Looked Washed Out (D-Log Was the Problem)

Have you noticed your DJI Air 3S footage looking washed out or lacking color? I discovered the culprit — and it was a simple setting I had wrong since testing manual settings. After noticing my last few Air 3S flights were missing that rich, lush color I was used to, I dug into my settings and found the issue: I had accidentally left the color profile set to D-Log instead of Normal. D-Log creates a flat, desaturated look designed for post-production color grading — when used with automatic settings, it kills all the vibrance. To test the fix, I took the Air 3S on a sideways waypoint mission near Sawnee Mountain — strictly automatic settings, no filters, no manual adjustments. The result? Back to the lush, vibrant greens I was expecting from the start. This is Part 1 of my settings adjustment series. Part 2 is already in the works — it'll include a full waypoint mission around the Dreaded Pond with a point-of-interest orbit.
