The Chevrolet K5 Blazer is one of the most distinctive SUVs in the history of the American automotive industry. Built in 1969, the model was based on the full-size C/K pickup truck, allowing it to compete with the then-popular Jeep CJ and Ford Big Bronco. This two-door muscle car was a favorite among American car enthusiasts: its reliable and durable design, spacious interior, and excellent off-road capabilities. It was produced from 1969 to 1994 and, in various years, was equipped with both gasoline and diesel engines ranging from 4.0 to 6.5 liters. Of these, only one was a V6; the rest were exclusively V8s. The second generation was even sold to law enforcement fleets, from the army to the National Guard. There's another interesting story connected to the K5 Blazer: the famous actor, racer, and all-around cool guy, Steve McQueen, purchased the SUV as a support vehicle for the Baja 1000 race.
