Un couteau doit tout faire

Choosing the wrong knife can quickly become a problem in the field. Whether you're preparing firewood, making wood chips, starting a fire, or simply working a piece of wood, your knife quickly becomes your primary tool. In this video, I show why a knife needs to be able to do everything, and especially how to use it in different situations. Bathering, feather sticks, using a fire steel, freehand chopping… The goal isn't to test a knife, but to show what you really expect from a tool in the field. Because when you're camping, bushcrafting, or hiking, you don't always have multiple tools with you. Your knife needs to be reliable, versatile, and able to adapt to different tasks without slowing you down. — Here, I demonstrate several practical uses: preparing firewood with batoning making feather sticks to facilitate fire starting using a fire steel effectively working wood with precision freehand chopping Each technique is important, and it's often the combination of these uses that makes the difference between a "decent" knife and one truly suited to the terrain. — The idea is simple: don't complicate things, but understand what actually works. A good knife isn't one that does everything perfectly, it's one that allows you to do everything efficiently. — On this channel, I share simple techniques related to bushcraft, bivouacking, knots, and resourcefulness in the wilderness. The goal: to keep it simple, understand, and above all, know how to do it. *************************** I subscribed to my own account. (Someone's gotta keep an eye on my antics.)
