Leonardo continues to strengthen the international presence of the M-346 program. ITPS Canada has ordered six M-346 T Block 20s, with an option for six more. Entry into service is scheduled for 2029, and the contract was signed in Venegono, one of Leonardo's main Italian facilities, where a demonstration flight also took place. ITPS Canada specializes in training civil and military pilots, both fixed-wing and rotary-wing. This role is different from the Italian International Flight School in Decimomannu, which focuses on training military pilots and uses the M-346 as its core platform. According to the Canadian school's CEO, the aircraft represents an ideal solution for the advanced training of modern fighter pilots thanks to its performance, digital flight control system, and ability to simulate fifth-generation platforms such as the F-35. The aircraft will be used to expand training services for NATO and allied pilots at the International Tactical Training Centre in North Bay, Ontario. Leonardo also noted that the M-346 program has surpassed 160,000 flight hours and has sold over 160 aircraft.
