Stage 6 Pre Handover

Pre Handover Your new Blueprint Home has been diligently built to the highest possible standards. Although trades take the utmost care when operating on site the construction process can occasionally result in instances of wear and tear prior to clients gaining possession of the house. To ensure complete customer satisfaction the pre Handover and Handover phase includes a series of checks, whereby every aspect of the build is scrutinized allowing time for any necessary rectifications before you move in. At this stage your house is a week away from its practical completion inspection with a client. A senior supervisor will thoroughly go through the house and confirm quality of all the finishes to make sure all the plumbing and electricals are working and make sure the house is visually sound. The senior construction supervisor will tag any aesthetic defects with blue tape. A check list of issues to be addressed will be recorded. As the client, you receive the inspection report and this will trigger the start of the 10-day repair period. Two weeks after the Practical completion inspection, official handover takes place at the Blueprint Homes Office. Once you've signed the Handover document, you will receive the keys to your brand-new home. In the final video in the series, we review the last stage of construction - the maintenance phase. You will learn about the defects liability period find, out how to claim an appliance warranty and get some tips for when you eventually decide to sell your home plus much more.
