He obtained his PhD from the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom. He co-authored the book - Large Scale Structure of Space and Time - with the late physicist Stephen Hawking. Together, they showed that classical physics shows us that the universe had a beginning. In this video, he discloses that he extended/generalised one of Kurt Godel's theorems. He is a recipient of the Templeton Prize in 2004, which is the largest honour given to an individual in the world.
