Belén Páez fell in love with the rainforest and vowed to protect it until the end of her days. She is one of the most important figures in Amazon conservation worldwide. As President of the Pachamama Foundation and Secretary General of the Sacred Basins Initiative, she has spent 28 years defending the rights of nature and Indigenous peoples.
