How To Make A Limbo Game. Limbo Kid's Game During COVID19.

The kids in my community are going to love this limbo game. I know this because my own kids had a blast doing it. I wish I had the flexibility to enjoy it as much as they will. The masses have asked and so the masses shall receive! In this video I show how to make a limbo game. Ok, so maybe I'm using hyperbole a little but the neighborhood HOA asked me to make a limbo game for the kids during the COVID19 lockdown. The HOA has been having the kids gather for activities and because they are not able to gather at school. Since they have some free time when not in Zoom school they thought it would be a great idea to come up with some activity ideas such as a kids limbo game. So who are they going to call?? Carpenter Logan at Dude Sawdust of course! So I had to ask myself how would one go about making a DIY limbo game? Since I'm a woodworker, wood is the way to go. I figured using dowels would be the ideal material. So it basically comes down to cutting dowels and plugging them together. This project was a great opportunity to put my new drill press to work. Any dowel project will probably need a drill press to get it completed. Fortunately, this is a simple dowel project that anyone can do if they have a drill press and a few other tools. This limbo game made of wood needed a strong base so I used Douglas fir and made a solid base of two parts. I used my table saw to get the right shape and in the end was very satisfied with how it turned out. I just needed to drill into the base and secure it with wood glue and there you have it, and east dowel project compete. I did not paint it since the HOA asked me to leave it bare so the kids could paint it as well for another activity. In the end I made two DIY limbo sets because I figured the kids would be able to compete against each other at the same time.
