Train Cab Ride NL / Rainy Day / Amsterdam - Alkmaar - Den Helder / VIRM Intercity / Feb 2017

Cabview on a rainy day in the Netherlands. This video will take you on the intercity service from our Main Capital Amsterdam to a small city in the north of North Holland called Den Helder. Because of construction works on one of the track in the Hemtunnel we need to slow down the train because the intercity service to Enkhuizen is still in front of us. You can see this train departing on the right when we arrive in Amsterdam Sloterdijk. Al little further on our way, between Krommenie Assendelft and Uitgeest we slow down because the express service to Uitgeest has a 3 minute delay. As soon as our tracks are cleared in Uitgeest, we speed up the train back to 130km/h and continue our way to Castricum. Between Uitgeest and Castricum the horns of the train are also tested. When we arrive in Schagen, an older man decides to cross the tracks while the barriers are already closed. Even though the train doesn't run that fast, every time this happens a train driver gets a huge adrenaline rush. So, please don't do this yourself! I hope you'll enjoy this video!
