I built a bidirectional, low-speed electric screwdriver using a 6-pin switch and a reduction motor. The purpose was to make it easier to set up a multi-turn variable resistor. The 6-pin switch allows you to change the polarity of the current supplied to the load. I've tried to explain in a video how the polarity changes as the current passes through the switch, making it as easy as possible to understand.
