Geometry 9.6a, Frieze Patterns and Translation Symmetry

An explanation of how a pattern has translation symmetry if it can be translated along a vector so the image coincides with the preimage. We discuss the 7 categories of Frieze Patterns and how Frieze Groups are the set of isometries of the pattern.
