Therefore, for security reasons, Coptic churches are guarded, and you will need to go through a checkpoint when visiting them. Inside the temple you will not see icons; they are replaced by frescoes. There are benches for parishioners, just like in a Catholic church. and during most of the service people are allowed to sit on them.
