Bishop Fulton Sheen - First the Spiritual, Then Take Action

Like during the Transfiguration of Our Lord, we must not remain on the mountain; we must go down into the valley and spread the Good News to the people, as we are renewed in Christ. As Bishop Sheen explains," we must obey both the first word of Our Lord's public life -- 'Come' -- and the last -- 'Go'." First, we must come to Christ and strengthen our soul spiritually, then, go out and spread the Gospel of Life to the world. We must combine the Church of social action and the Church of individual sanctification into One Church.
