Soheila, a hard-hearted nomad woman, after years of living between the mountains and the plains, now has only her two young daughters and a tattered tent. The war razed her house to the ground; the same house she had built with her own hands. Since that day, Soheila and the children have been homeless, homeless, with no place to return to. They spent the previous night in Zahra’s small hut in the heart of the mountain; a hut that smelled of fresh bread and hot tea. Zahra welcomed them with her big heart, but Soheila did not sleep all night. Her gaze was on the wooden roof and her heart was worried about the future of her children. In the morning, when the weather was still cold, Soheila slowly packed up her tent. The girls were sleepy, but she was determined. “I don’t want to be a burden to anyone… I have to find a shelter,” she whispered. "My children should not be left in the alley."
