Minutes later, two homicide detectives stepped out of one of the vehicles and made their way inside the smoldering structure. After going down a hallway, they found a door that led to the basement. They descended the stairs, and when they reached the bottom, they froze, because there was something horrifying int he middle of the room. A dead body strapped to a chair. Neither man said a word. They just stared silently – praying – that this person had died before the mutilation had begun.
