I've been threatening for a while, so here we are at last: how to play the American destroyers. Changes made to Gearing's model and hull in the past year - combined with the unique upgrade - result in a ship that plays very differently from the Gearing I first unlocked back in 2016. Gearing in the modern game is capable of fulfilling her jack-of-all-trades role admirably; her excellent main battery, outstanding torpedo armament, best-in-tier ASW capabilities, and above-average anti-aircraft armament result a ship that is capable in nearly any situation she finds herself in.
