An undercover investigation has laid bare the grim reality of Manchester city centre – with a reporter offered drugs four times in just two hours and stepping in to stop a violent street brawl between two young women. The probe, carried out by undercover journalist Christian Grogan, took place on a Tuesday night in a rat infested Piccadilly Gardens – dubbed "Crackadilly" by critics because of its long-running problems with crime and anti-social behaviour.
