More information is available here:    / @zuegigezuege   ÖBB has consistently relied on locomotive-hauled push-pull trains for its Railjet, its premium high-speed train. Even in the long term, the fastest members of the Railjet family will consist exclusively of locomotive-hauled push-pull trains. In this video, we take a closer look at these trains: the Railjet 1 and Railjet 2. We also explore potential long-term deployment locations for these trains. We examine their acceleration and passenger exchange times, deriving possible areas of operation from these findings. The Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB) have also ordered multiple units (KISS & Mireo), which will also operate as Railjets in the future. However, these have a lower top speed than the locomotive-hauled Railjets and are intended for use on other routes. We will cover these in detail in our next video. #railjet #öbb #oebb 0:00 Intro 1:08 Multiple Units vs. Locomotive-hauled Railjet 3:29 Door Problems 5:22 Disadvantages of the Railjets 6:26 Railjet Area of Operation 10:40 Railjet 1 & 2 Interior
