5226. That’s All Right, Mama (Elvis Concert with Bob at Fawkner Park)

The first song from our June 2026 concert, "Elvis the King", at South Yarra Senior Centre in Fawkner Park. It was written and recorded in 1946 by the American blues singer Arthur Crudup and re-released in 1949 by RCA Victor under the title “That’s All Right, Mama“, which was issued as RCA’s first rhythm and blues record on its new 45 rpm format. The song is best known as the debut single recorded and released by Elvis Presley. It was recorded in 1954 with “Blue Moon of Kentucky” as the B-side.
