Bone2pick kicks off our 2026 season with a dynamic sit down with trombone virtuoso Colin Williams. Colin was appointed associate principal trombone of the New York Philharmonic in 2014. Prior to that, he was principal trombone of the Atlanta Symphony and the San Antonio Symphony. He has performed with the orchestras of Chicago, Boston, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, Washington D.C. and Houston. He is active as a soloist and chamber musician and is co-founder of the Southeast Trombone Symposium. His signature trombone is produced by the S.E. Shires Co. Enjoy! ABOUT MICHAEL DAVIS Trombonist/composer Michael Davis has enjoyed a diverse and acclaimed career over the past 40 years. Widely known as the trombonist for five world tours with the Rolling Stones, he toured and recorded extensively with Frank Sinatra, has released 14 CDs as a solo artist, composed over 150 works, authored a dozen books for brass players of all levels and appeared on over 500 CDs, television themes and motion picture soundtracks. He is the founder of Hip-Bone Music, Inc. In 2011, the S.E. Shires Company released the Michael Davis signature model trombone and followed that in 2014 with the release of the Michael Davis+ trombone.
