A 'Steak & Potatoes' Man Was A REAL MAN
THEODORE ROOSEVELT’S SIRLOIN STEAK 1-2 sirloin steaks, aprox 1.25” thick 2 TBS lard 2 TBS butter Grab a handful of dried sage leaves and dried rosemary Salt & cracked black pepper *Get a cast iron skillet smoking hot with the lard in it. Pat steak dry and cover with cracked pepper and salt. Sear one side of the steak 3 min (don’t move it!). Flip the steak and move skillet to medium heat. Add butter and herbs. Baste the steak in the butter and herbs for 3 min or until desired doneness. Let rest a few minutes. Serve with boiled garden potatoes with lots of butter. ⭐️TASTE THE FLOUR OF OUR ANCESTORS!
