NARROW ESCAPE - our narrowboat life adventure; In this episode we start our journey just south of lovely Berkhamsted on the Grand Union canal. We pass The NarrowBoat That James Built in Berkhamsted before spotting our first ever kingfisher!! It's all uphill so plenty of locks to climb. The run through Berkhamsted then rises further through rural Cow Roast where Elliott fishes someone's Dad out of the canal after he slipped in! The cut then takes on an almost other-worldly feel as the tree canopies take over leaving a sort of lit tunnel effect. Through Tring we go before reaching Marsworth which is where the junction for the Wendover Arm is.
