The Practical Skill of Schematics Drawing and Its Importance for Designers Success
While most circuit design curriculum heavily focuses on (and rightfully so) choosing the right architectures, topologies and device sizing, students might simply be unaware of the significance of well-drawn schematics. It is an aspect that continues to be overlooked in the industry due to time pressure from the tape-out treadmills. The practical skill and discipline of drawing readable schematics is no different from that of writing clean codes for a programmer. This talk aims to highlight the importance of schematics drawing in IC design, provide a style guide and examples, and motivate designers to adopt good schematic practices. The tips and tricks presented in this webinar will also help enhance productivity and reduce frustrations during design cycles. Schematics can also be fun and allow us to express individuality.
