Szymanowski: Nocturne & Tarantella, Op. 28 | Jeein Kim & Allison Freeman

From a Sunday Matinee concert at the 2022 Heifetz Institute Festival of Concerts, violinist Jeein Kim and pianist Allison Freeman perform the Nocturne and Tarantelle, op. 28, written in 1915 by Polish composer Karol Szyzanowski. In her introduction, Jeein notes that while Szymanowski was Polish, this piece belongs to the composer's so-called "Impressionist" period, and he is thought to have composed the fiery Tarantella in a single evening! They perform the piece in concert at Mary Baldwin University's Francis Auditorium, the main concert hall of the Heifetz Institute. 00:33 Introduction by Jeein Kim Karol Szymanowski (1882 - 1937): Nocturne & Tarantella, Op. 28 01:45 I.
