For communication alumna Maria Howell, working at the U.S. Soccer Federation is a defining moment where the efforts of her past as a student-athlete and her work as a journalism major at Georgia State come together. As an avid soccer player, the dream of a pursuing a career in sports was always in her, but the trajectory to get there was different than she imagined.
