River Raid (Carol Shaw / Activision, 1984, MSX)

We're back to playing a game from Activision's glory days. This time, it's an undisputed classic: “River Raid,” originally released in December 1982 for the Atari 2600 and ported to MSX by Activision itself in 1984. River Raid is one of the first commercial games designed and programmed entirely by a woman: in this case, the great Carol Shaw. The game was played on Linux, using the OpenMSX emulator, and was captured by the emulator itself. Turn on the subtitles to read my commentary on the game. 0:00 Loading 0:04 Title Screen 0:23 Level 1 0:45 Level 2 1:12 Level 3 1:43 Level 4 2:06 Level 5 2:31 Level 6 2:55 Level 7 3:22 Level 8 3:45 Level 9 4:06 Level 10 4:27 Level 11 4:46 Level 12 5:03 Level 13 5:33 Level 14 5:51 Level 15 6:43 Level 16 7:05 Level 17 8:06 Game Over
