Today we’re spending a day in Puno, Peru, soaking up the charm of this high-altitude city by the edge of Lake Titicaca. We start going to book my last rabies vaccine then a slow stroll along the Malecón Ecoturístico Bahía de los Incas, a beautiful lakeside walkway perfect for bird watching, people watching, and views of the lake stretching out into the distance. Next, we explore Plaza de Armas, the central square of Puno, surrounded by colonial architecture, and the iconic Cathedral Basilica of St. Charles Borromeo. It's a perfect place to sit, snack, and take in the rhythm of the city. Tomorrow, we leave the city behind to stay on the Uros Floating Islands, where locals live on handmade reed islands right on the lake.
