Dr Stewart Finlayson - The Last Neanderthal: The World Through Flint's Eyes

Lecture by Dr Stewart Finlayson - "The Last Neanderthal: The World Through Flint's Eyes". In his talk Dr Finlayson examines the site of Devil’s Tower Cave, 100 years after the discovery of the Neanderthal child’s (Flint) skull. He examines the mammal and bird remains discovered with the skull. He uses these finds to paint a picture of what would have been familiar to young Flint in a remotely distant Gibraltar. This lecture forms part of the Gibraltar National Museum’s programme marking the centenary of the discovery of the Gibraltar 2 Neanderthal child skull known as 'Flint'.
