Reacting to My Prime: Tunnel Vision & A Magical Observation

Looking back at old footage can teach you a lot about who you used to be, and who you are today. In this video, I’m reacting to some old, prime sparring footage of myself as I was preparing for a massive international fight. Watching this tape back brought back the exact psychological weight of that camp, and I wanted to break down the two most critical concepts that kept me alive in the ring: Extreme Tunnel Vision and a truly magical observation about gym culture. When you're stepping up to the international stage, the pressure is suffocating. But as a senior fighter at your gym, you don’t have the luxury of showing panic. You have a "cult following"; younger peers and training partners who watch how you carry yourself when you’re exhausted, how you react when you get hit, and how you handle the weight. By your actions alone, they learn how to survive their own storms. That leads to a magical observation about "Gym Aura." When you hit your prime, the whole room's energy matches your clock. They train harder just to match your air. Reaching that level comes with a massive responsibility to be a true role model and an absolute obligation to never forget the people who held the ropes, cheered for you, and helped you sharpen your skills.
