Tensions at Ramotshere Moiloa Municipality
Police had to be called in to quell tensions, as two security companies clashed inside the municipal building at the Zeerust-based Ramotshere Moiloa Local Municipality, in North West. This is after the Municipal Council took a resolution to remove ANC Councillor Dinah Pitso as the Mayor, and elected another ANC Councillor Itumeleng Moarabi to the position. Pitso took the matter to the North West High Court, to interdict the implementation of resolutions adopted, and to declare the council resolution unlawful and unprocedural, along with all decisions that made on that day. However, the court dismissed the urgent application. SABC News reporter Zebilon Maine has more. For more news, visit sabcnews.com and #SABCNews on all Social Media platforms.
