ARROZ ÁRABE - SAZON PERU 2020 - GUARNICIÓN
INGREDIENTS: (Serves 5) 500g of rice 100g of angel hair noodles 100g of raisins 100g of smoked bacon 1 1/2 cups of black soda 1 1/2 cups of water 2 tsp. of soy sauce 50g of pecans 1 tsp. of butter 1 tsp. of ground garlic Salt to taste PREPARATION: Cut the bacon into squares and set aside. Cut the noodles into 2-centimeter pieces. Fry in butter until golden brown over low heat, stirring constantly. Set aside. Then, in the pot where the Arabic rice will be prepared, sauté the smoked bacon over low heat until the bacon fat is released. Remove from the pot and set aside. In the same fat left over from the bacon, fry the garlic, adding a little more vegetable or olive oil. Then, add the water, salt, soy sauce, and black soda. Wait until it comes to a boil, then add the well-washed and soaked raisins, the bacon, the noodles, the pecans, and the well-washed rice. Mix all the ingredients well and let it cook for approximately 15 minutes over low heat. Check the rice to see if it's cooked, and with a fork, stir well and cover. It's ready. Arabic rice is a side dish to accompany some main dishes such as chicken cordon bleu, roast chicken, roast turkey, etc. Enjoy!
