30 January 2022 | 4th Sunday of Ordinary Time | Monsignor David Tonks

Today is the fourth Sunday of Ordinary Time and we are led in praying the Mass by Mons David Tonks and the faith community of St Joseph’s Takapuna. The beautiful passage we hear today from the Prophet Jeremiah reminds us of how precious we are in the eyes of God who loved as into being but then he challenges us by telling us to ‘gird our loins’ so that we are not crushed by adversity. As we face the challenges of the current pandemic this is still God’s message to us. We are loved and we have the ability to face the challenges we are presented with. As Bishop Pat remind us in his Advent message – the Church has faced difficult times and had to adapt its way of gathering before. And survived as we will. Enjoy the long weekend Aucklanders. Go well, pray well. Permission to podcast / stream the music in this service obtained from ONE LICENSE with license M-400197 Bishop Pat Dunn - Limited Podcast License. All rights reserved.
