Moving forward with the stylistic foundation of sci-fi themed progressive rock Kerzner created with the band Sound of Contact, he has recruited a super group of musicians to perform his new songs. The line up on In Continuum’s debut album “Acceleration Theory” includes Kerzner on lead vocals and keyboards with fellow Sound of Contact band mate Matt Dorsey on guitar and bass as well as SOC touring guitarists Randy McStine (The Fringe) and John Wesley (Porcupine Tree) on guitars. Drumming on the album are Marco Minnemann (Steven Wilson, The Artisticrats) and Nick D’Virgilio (Big Big Train, Spock’s Beard). Sharing lead vocals with Kerzner are Gabriel Agudo (Steve Rothery Band), Leticia Wolf (Dead Deads) and Jon Davison (Yes). Special guests also contributing to the album include Steve Hackett of Genesis, Steve Rothery of Marillion and Fernando Perdomo of the Dave Kerzner Band plus more. With this all star line up, the songs of “Acceleration Theory” come to life in a multi-part series of concept albums produced and mixed by Kerzner with the help of Grammy®-winning engineers Tom Lord-Alge and Chris Lord-Alge. “Acceleration Theory” is a A SCI-FI CONCEPT ALBUM The music of In Continuum is very cinematic and the lyrics tell a story where each song is a different piece of a larger puzzle. “Acceleration Theory” is set in the year 2074 when Earth is on the brink of a nuclear world war. It turns out that a galactic society of aliens who are more advanced than humans have been guiding man’s evolution since the beginning. But, starting in the 20th Century they decided to test a theory that if man was given technology it might accelerate their growth in order to become advanced enough to join the galactic community. Unfortunately, this experiment failed. By the year 2074, the aliens had given up on mankind and were making plans for an invasion to stop the nuclear war from destroying the Earth, a valuable asset to the galaxy. With the fate of man up in the air, a single female alien who has fallen in love with humans through collecting Earth’s radio transmissions sets out on her own to warn the people of Earth about the impending invasion. When she reaches Earth she crash lands in a field and is taken away to a mysterious hangar. Redressed in white and labeled “Alien A”, she escapes to a nearby farm and meets Kai, a benevolent Earth man who calls her “AlienA”. They form a special bond and together they make plans to stop the invasion and the war saving all mankind from a dark destiny. Release Info: The first album simply titled “Acceleration Theory”, also known as “Acceleration Theory Part One: AlienA”, is set for release in January, 2019 on Kerzner’s own RecPlay record label with a sequel part Two album scheduled for release later in the year.
