Die wilden Cevennen: Gorge du Tarn, Gorge de la Jonte & das Viadukt von Millau

At the end of May 2026, I set off for two weeks on my CF Moto 450 MT to explore the south of France. The rough route: Doubs – French Jura – Vercors – Ardèche – Cevennes – Luberon – three relaxing days on the coast near Le Lavandou – and back via Mont Colombis at Lac de Serre‑Ponçon. In total, it turned into about 3,200 km of pure riding fun. Along the way, I experienced plenty of wow moments – feel free to count along and see how many there will be by the end of the series. For trip planning, I can highly recommend the Facebook group and the website Route Grand Alps:   / routegrandesalpes   https://www.moppedhotel.de/routedesgr... Beyond the gorges of the Ardèche, a completely different world awaits us: the wild, rugged and remote Cévennes. In this video, I take you along on a spectacular road trip through the untamed heart of southern France. A day in the Cévennes that has it all: the 53‑kilometre Gorge du Tarn, the narrow and dramatic Gorges de la Jonte, the impressive Millau Viaduct, and finally the charming little town of Meyrueis. I follow the Tarn upstream, dive into the canyon and share a bit of the region’s history — from the Huguenots to the Camisards. Along the way, you’ll see spectacular landscapes and bizarre rock formations carved by wind, water and time. Meyrueis will probably become my future base camp for more adventures. Great hotel, fantastic food.
