Art Project: Earth Habitat Jars - 5th Grade
Earth Habitat Jars - Recommended for 5th grade In this tutorial you will create a habitat, ecosystem or biome, inside a jar. Design a symmetrical jar, choose an ecosystem and use a “pick and draw visual if needed. Remember that each ecosystem has different animals, plants and climate components of their specific environment. Some examples included are rainforest, desert, tundra, ocean, grassland and forest. Sketch your habitat inside the jar using pencil and then sharpie the outlines. Color using pencils (use watercolor pencils if you have some) and crayons. Think about contrasting colors for the background and details for your jar. I would like to acknowledge Deep Space Sparkle for providing inspiration and visual aids for this lesson. www.deepspacesparkle.com
