Cutting Red Oak into lumber on the Woodland Mills HM130Max
This is the big Red Oak I loaded on the Woodland Mills HM130Max Portable sawmill last week, the weather finally cleared up enough so I could get it milled up. We have been getting flooding rain here non stop it seems, I can barely get the tractor around the yard. This log sat on the ground too long and the sapwood was no good so I needed to take some thick cut offs. Have not decided what I will be using this red oak lumber for. I might use it for stair decking or flooring on the shed/kiln build. I still have a bunch of logs to cut, sticker and dry, then I will start getting projects going using all the lumber sawn up. Some projects coming up will be adding stairs to the back deck, a shed/kiln build, making new kitchen cabinets and some small woodworking projects.
