Packraft Combat Rolls

Great video examples of roll instruction for packrafts are already out there, but the practical value of a packraft roll for running whitewater is still an open question. A bombproof packraft roll such as hardshellers can achieve still feels just over the horizon, but the reliability for some has increased to the point where it can affect decision making and risk calculation for consequential rapids. It's not just a party trick. This video is intended as inspiration for packrafters curious about or working on their roll. Even if you never achieve a combat roll in a packraft, learning the mechanics will still help you prevent flips with the bracing skills you develop if you intend to paddle class III or harder whitewater.
